  1. From Inventory module > click on Inventory UOM menu.
  2. The Search screen for Inventory UOMs will be shown. Click New toolbar button.
  3. This will open a blank Inventory UOM screen.
  4. Enter Unit Measure and Symbol.
  5. Select the Unit Type.
  6. The grid area can be setup or not depending whether the inventory UOM added is a stock UOM or other UOM.
    1. Stock UOM is referred to as the default UOM.
    2. While Other UOM is referred as the the converted UOM.

    Configure grid area as:

    • The grid area of the Stock UOM will not need any setup at all. It is left blank.
    • The grid area of the Other UOM will need to be setup. The proper setup would be is how many/much of the stock UOM for the selected Other UOM. Like in this example, select pound, which is the Stock UOM, in the Other UOM field and enter  enter 5 in the Conversion To field. This means that there are 5 pounds in a 5-lb bag inventory uomUOM.
  7. Save the record. You can click the Save toolbar button to save it. In case you miss to click this button and you click the Close toolbar button or the x button at the top right corner of the screen, i21 will prompt you if you would like to save it before closing the screen.
