Note: same configuration must be done on multiple instances of i21 Electron within the Network.


Log in i21 application.

Open Physical Scale screen from Ticket Management menu > Physical Scales.

Setup the Physical Scale. In this screen, configure the Motion Detection, Weight and Check Date/Time. 

Note: this is connected to the scale device setup.

Open the Scale Station Setting screen from Ticket Management menu > Scale Station Settings.

Under General/ Hardware tab > Hardware panel, make sure the selected Physical Equipment ID is selected.

Once you are done, go to File menu > click i21 Scale Ports.

Click the Add button.

Configure the i21 Scale Port.

  • Port - enter the 3rd COM Port from the starting COM. Example. if the Starting COM selected is COM10, your port here is COM12.
  • Physical Equipment ID - enter the Physical Equipment ID of your Physical Scale.
  • Handshake - select X0nX0ff

Click Save.

You will bring to i21 Home page.


To check if Scale Head is getting the same weights on different computers:

  • From Ticket Management menu > Tickets, click Station.

Note: make sure the correct Scale Station is selected.

  • Click New to create Scale Ticket
  • Initial loading of new Ticket screen, no scale reading is showing up in Scale head.

  • Tune the scale device simulator to get the scale weight reading.

This will appear in Scale Ticket screen.

Use the hot key (F3) or click the Gross to get the Scale weight to display it in Gross Weight field.

Tune the scale device simulator again to get the scale weight reading for Tare Weight.

This will appear in Scale Ticket screen.

Use the hot key (F4) or click the Tare to get the Scale weight to display it in Tare Weight field.

Note: Getting the Scale Weight Reading by pressing the hot keys or clicking on the button will automatically save the scale ticket.
