A ‘Stock Keeping Unit’ is held within a Container.

Accessing SKU

  1. Select Warehouse->SKU.

     2. The SKU manager screen will load

The SKU manager screen has the following menus:

MenuDescription
NewAllows the user to create a new SKU
openAllows the user to view details of the selected SKU
RefreshAllows the user to Refresh the page
ExportAllows user to export the page to Excel, PDF or TEXT files
CloseAllows to Close the screen

Create new SKU: 

Clicking ‘New’ menu opens the SKU Detail screen in new mode with some fields with default values.

User can create a SKU by entering the details of SKU and then by saving the record.

Open SKU: 

Select one SKU and click on 'Open'. The SKU details screen will load in edit mode.

The ‘SKU Detail’ screen consists of two tabs:

• Detail

• History

The fields in the ‘SKU Detail’ tab are listed below:

FieldDescription
SKU NoDisplays the ID of the selected SKU.
SKU StatusDisplays the status of SKU.
Material NameSelect the desired Material.
ContainerClick
Container TypeDisplays the type of the selected Container.
Unit NameDisplays the name of the Storage Unit in which the selected Container exists.
OwnerDisplays the name of the Owner.
Lot CodeEnter the Lot Code
QuantityEnter the quantity of UOM in SKU
UOMSelect the desired Unit Of Measurement (UOM)
Production DateSelect the date of production or date updated after entering the lot code.
Received DateSelect the date when the SKU was received
Expiration DateSelect the date of expiry of the material
Last Update ByDisplays the name of the logged in user if updated last.
Last Update OnDisplays the date and time of last update

 

Clicking ‘SKU History’ tab displays the fields under ‘SKU Detail’ tab in a columnar format as shown below:

NOTE: The columns under ‘SKU History’ tab are read-only.

Important

An SKU cannot be deleted if it is associated with any Inbound or Outbound order.
