Server Recommendations
iRely supports Windows Server 2012 R2 (we recommend 2012 R2)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016 is being tested, but not yet supported
- Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Standard minimum (previous versions will not be supported in versions of iRely 18.x and above)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016 is currently being tested, but not yet supported
- Completed testing SQL Server 2016 for i21 but not Origins.

- iRely recommends the use of RAID(1, 5, 10) disks in all servers

- If you have Portal Users, you need to be sure to license your Microsoft SQL server using Core licensing. These licenses are sold in packs of 2. Contact your vendor for pricing.
- iRely does not support installing our applications on Domain controllers, Exchange Servers, or Windows Server Essentials aka Small Business Server(SBS)
- It is recommended that the software data is hosted on a separate partition from the operating system. Typical setup would be C:\ drive for operating system and applications, and D:\ drive for iRely databases and files.
- Reserve at least 200GB of space for the C:\ drive to allow installation of applications.

High-speed Internet
- High latency service (satellite or wireless internet) not recommended
- DSL/Cable/Fiber service with min 5MB download/2MB upload. VPN service to remote locations required if using scales at remote locations. Otherwise, VPN is recommended for secure communication between branches
- Static IP address required for eCommerce or branch/c-store access. Otherwise recommended
- Business class firewall required (with port forward capability) . IPSEC VPN capabilities recommended (required for scales)

Remote Scale Workstations (this workstation runs a local copy of software that communicates to main office in batches)
Recommended – Windows 10 with 8GB RAM, 300GB Solid State Hard Drive, 2Ghz Quad Core processor
- will require local instance of Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition, not SQL Express
- workstation will send information back to main office at a set frequency ( i.e. 15 mins)
- then every night workstation will pull new information from main server

- this setup works best for locations where internet service is sporadic

Remote Support Software
- iRely uses ScreenConnect by ConnetWise (https://www.screenconnect.com) for administration of servers and remote diagnostics with end users
- ScreenConnect uses 256-bit AES encryption for every session and is HIPAA and PCI compliant
- iRely uses the unattended remote client on the client Windows servers during install and also for remote troubleshooting
- iRely also uses the remote support client to connect with end users to help with troubleshooting
- End users call in to support line and are given a code, once the code is input the end users downoads the client. This creates a secure session and we are able to interface with end user desktop

- As a general rule (kiosk printers do not apply), printers should be PCL 5/PCL 6 compatible for standard printing. Postscript(PDL) compatible for pdf(eForms) printing. Manufacturer specific emulations for PCL or Postscript are not supported (Example: Kyocera KPDL, Brother BR-Script)
- Please be aware, printer manufacturers release updates to firmware that are out of the control of iRely. These firmware updates may alter the capability or behavior of the printer.

Meter Connectivity
