Consolidation is a process of inserting the General Ledger details of  Subsidiary Company/Companies into the General Ledger Account details of the Parent Company.

Pre-condition:

  1. Setup Multi-Company. Make sure that there is a Parent Company and at least one Subsidiary companyFor more information on multi-company setup, refer to: How to Setup Multi-Company Replication.
  2. For  parent company and subsidiary company, generate Trial Balance of the date range that will cover the consolidation date and download the report.
    Options on Generating Trial balance:
    1. Financial Reports > Reports Template > Trial Balance Detail


    2. General Ledger > GL Account Detail > Trial Balance Tab


  3. Consolidate the Companies, for more information refer to How to Consolidate Companies.
  4. After the consolidation process verify the changes.
  5. For  parent company, generate another Trial Balance of the date range that will cover the consolidation date and download the report.
    Options on Generating Trial balance:
    1. Financial Reports > Reports Template > Trial Balance Detail


    2. General Ledger > GL Account Detail > Trial Balance Tab
  6. Compare the result. The result of the new trial balance in parent company should add the trial balance in subsidiary company.
    Note: Date ranges in the report should be correct to avoid confusion.
