1. From General Ledger Maintenance menu, select Account Structure. The Account Structure screen will open.

2. Click on empty row to add new segmentsClick New toolbar button to add primary and other segment. Also, configure its Length and Mask.

   1. Length - this is the number of characters the structure will have. 
   2. Mask - this will determine what type, or types of characters can be used for account configuration. All valid mask characters accepted by the system together with its description are displayed when you clicked the Mask dropdown button.

3. For new customers where there is no Origin accounts to synchronize and Origin Integration from Company Preferences is OFF,

4. If you are converting from Origin, Origin Integration from Company Preferences must be ON. All All segments you entered on the Structure tab will also be available in Legacy in Origin tab. These are the segments that will be mapped in Legacy Origin COA during synchronization process.

5. Click Save button to save the setup.

   Image RemovedIn case that accounts are already created and change is made in the account structure, clicking the Save button will throw this message. Select Yes to update the existing accounts.

   Once the accounts were already created, modifying the account structure is not allowed.
