The Pricing Level is another type of pricing the item that uses bulk/volume of item ordered/sold to define the price.  The price setup here is most likely a price lower than that of Retail Price and MSRP to attract customers from ordering/purchasing item in volume/bulk.

  1. Open Item screen > Pricing tab > Pricing Level tab.
  2. A new line will be available to allow you to add a new pricing level information.
  3. Pricing is setup per location. Select a location in the Location field
  4. Select the Pricing Level

Only Pricing Level added to the selected Location will be available. To guide you on how to setup Pricing Level, see How to Add Pricing Level.

  5. Select Item UOM

    1. If UOM selected is the Stock UOM, then the Price to be used in computing the Unit Price is either the Retail Price or MSRP configured in the Pricing tab.
      Example:

      Computed as:
Unit Price = Retail Price since Pricing Method is Discount Retail Price - (Retail Price * 2%)
      Unit Price = 14.00 - (14.00 * 0.02)
      Unit Price = 14.00 - 0.28
      Unit Price = 13.72

    2. If UOM selected is Other UOM, then the Price to be used in computing the Unit Price is converted to that other UOM. That is why it is recommended that you setup the Inventory UOM properly. To guide you on how to add and configure Inventory UOM and Item UOM properly, see How to Add new inventory UOM and How to Setup Item UOM respectively.

      Computed as:
Unit Price of Other UOM (10-lb bag in this example) = (Retail Price since Pricing Method is Discount Retail Price * Unit Qty of Other UOM)
Unit Price of Other UOM (10-lb bag in this example) = 14.00 * 10
Unit Price of Other UOM (10-lb bag in this example) = 140.00

Unit Price = (Unit Price of Other UOM) - (Unit Price of Other UOM * 2%)
      Unit Price = 140.00 - (140.00 * 0.02)
      Unit Price = 140 - 2.80
      Unit Price = 137.20
  6. The Unit Qty field will be updated by the Unit Qty setup of the UOM you selected.
  7. In the Min and Max fields enter the minimum and maximum quantities the customer should order/buy to get a price lower than the regular price.
  8. Select a Pricing Method. To guide you on how each pricing method computes for the Price, see How Price is computed based on different Pricing Methods.
