The Device Action toolbar button will be enabled when the Consumption Site has a device attached to it and when the user is currently working on the Devices tab of the Consumption Sites screen. This button will open the Device Actions screen, where you can select any of the six actions. The Device Type and Serial Number field will display the details of the device selected from the Devices tab. If no device has been selected prior clicking the Device Action toolbar button, the system will get the details from the first device on the list.

 

The actions that you can perform using this screen are:

  1. At Customers to be Transferred back to Bulk Plant Location
  2. Pick up and Transfer Back to Bulk Plant Location
  3. Cancel Pickup and Transfer Back to Bulk Plant Location
  4. Transfer to Another Consumption Site
  5. Enter Repair Notes
  6. Sold

Field Description

Device Type - This is a read-only field which displays the device type of the selected device on the Device tab.

Serial No - This is a read-only field which displays the serial number of the selected device on the Device tab.

Action - Select from the combo box list of events. This field will default to 'At Customers to be Transferred back to Bulk Plant Location’. The options are as listed above.

Pick up and Transfer Back to Bulk Plant Location:

Date - This will default to the system date. Enter the date of the event.

Bulk Plant Location - Select the location where the device will be returned to.

Gallons Left in Tank or Current Meter Reading - If the device type is Tank, you will be prompted to enter the remaining gallons in tank. If the device type is Flow Meter, you will be prompted to enter the current reading of the meter. If the device type is neither Tank nor Flow Meter, this field is not accessible.

Performer ID - Select the person who will perform the event.

Transfer to Another Consumption Site:

Date - This will default to the system date. Enter the date of the event.

Performer ID - Select the person who will perform the event.

Transfer Device To - Click this button to open the Search Consumption Sites screen. Select the new site to transfer the device. The three field below this button are read-only fields which will show the details of the new site.

Enter Repair Notes:

Date - This will default to the system date. Enter the date of the event.

Repair Notes - Enter the notes.
